Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Wetsy !
The GlobberAward* announcement for yesterday's assignment will be postponed until tomorrow along with some other sentences for the vocabulary words. *(not to be confused with Globe Award-but for fun, if you win, just go to this site and choose your favorite award and give yourself a pat on the back.)
Today I want to wish Wetsy a Happy Birthday: (music here)
The two round yellow circles singing and dancing during the second verse are law and myself.

In case you don't recognize any of the locations of the pictures below, here are some clues in no particular order. That's because I couldn't get them in a particular order.

It seems like only yesterday we were fourth-graders at Limestone. I vaguely remember your story about Antlers. Here, you and your friend were Twinkies. Hello to the other three friends in the same picture. Then, there was a birthday party at Hillcrest. What does your friend have on her head for Nutcracker? You girls grew up before our very eyes and were roommates. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Mrs. Dubyah :)
To other readers, please excuse a personal post today, but it was just too important not to celebrate with a friend. You are welcome to send your best Happy Birthday wish with a greeting, quote, poetry (that does include limericks) . . . to Wetsy, who by the way is related to Ree at Confessions of a Pioneer Woman. May I suggest listening to the Juice Bag audio portion of her glob in case this is your first time at her very eclectic asylum. Ree's was the very first "glob" I ever read in my life. That was last month. And for a very graceful photo of Wetsy, click HERE.

Disclaimer: If today is not your birthday, I know it's sometime soon. So just read this on your special day.

Hey! Happy Birthday to Wetsy!! We've only gotten to hang out once or twice. I don't remember. But I do remember Thatcher slinging her around the dance floor at the Cantina one night. :)

Hope you had a great day!

It is important to click ON each picture so that you experience the "details" in each of them.
Just a little FYI from Mrs. Dubyah.

Aww, this is so sweet!

Sometime you need to post the story about what she said about Antlers when you first met her. (Let me know if you don't remember!)

Thanks, Mrs. Dub!!! How sweet of you to devote your post to me today!! All I want to know is what did my mom make me wear in that last picture? Was that some elementary school graduation? I look 3 years old and mentally challenged.
Oh, and Pamela, Wetsy is short for Betsy Wetsy. And it was an appropriate alias for me, I can assure you.
Thanks, swampwitch!! Love the memories!

wetsy, I hope you listened to your song. law and I choreographed the dance then practiced a long time to get it just perfect.(second verse) Besides, I've just learned to link and your post today was great practice for me. I have a best friend who lives where you do. You girls need to meet even though there is a slight age difference. She's a hoot.

I'd love to meet your friend! Oh and I'm trying to cook up a trip with Liz to see LAW. I gotta see that house!
And No, swampwitch is the mother of one of my best childhood friends. So I am really the link between swampwitch and ree. It's all about me. At least for today. :)

Too funny! It's even better when you know the subjects.

An alternate title for this post "The Future Traumatization of Young Women Documented in Pictures"

The Nutcracker pic literally had me ROFL.

Happy Birthday Wetsy!

BetsyWetsy: The picture you're speaking of was taken at an awards ceremony at Limestone when you were in fourth grade. Mentally challenged? I don't think so. What was the name of the perfume your mom always wore during that time?
You and Liz MUST make a trip to see LAW and D. The house is awesome. If you check out one of my earlier posts, there is a pic of D, but you have to look closely. Clues about my friend in your town: "Wayside School is Falling Down", "Holes", "Small Steps", etc. - his wife. Be sure to click on the link Happy Birthday to enjoy LAW's and my song and dance for you. We worked a long time on that one.

REE:Does the story plot about Antlers rhyme with corny? And wasn't that your story?

Julie:...slinging around the floor...is that anything like the Oklahoma Swing or the Texas Two Step?

Pamela: see wetsy's explanation below

KBear: Thanks for visiting for the first time. How did you find GlobLand?

N: So glad ato know others live in the state of Confusion. See wetsy's explanation below.

SillyHily: I was so glad to have located those pictures at 10:00 last night. Whew!

Brian: Great poem today. Thanks for the new vocabulary word:
synaesthetes

C: Thanks for stopping by GlobLand today.

RedNeckGirl: Glad to see you out and about today.

nothans: Great idea for a title!!!
I have M.O.R.E. pictures, so I'll have to come up with another post. Of course, there are other subjects who will be traumatized, too, since they are in these photos with LAW and Wetsy.
Can you tell them apart? I spent many years reminding their friends who was who. Wetsy has the dimples and she doesn't have a rat on her head. I'm so glad to have learned what ROFL and ROFLMAO means.

Debs: Good to see you today.

OMFG! First, mom you will pay! Second, Wetsy I'm so sorry! :) However, this was great fun this morning! I have two of the best friends in the world that I've known since 3rd grade, and Wetsy is one of the Three Biatches! :)Happy Birthday Wets! Love LAW. BTW don't forget to wear your bracelets in pink, white, turquoise order on Tuesday! :)

LAW and Wetsy: One of you needs to call Liz. She are a star, too. I guess you girls know there are more of these type photos at my finger tips.

Thank you nothans for introducing me to the world of globbing. And to think, it was Ree's Confessions of a Pioneer Woman whose glob I read first.

I am stumped about your friend here! Ugh. More hints, please.
My mom's perfume at that time...was it Safari? Or was that later? Oh, it might have been Giorgio!!
BTW, LAW sent me a gift card to a really cute spa here. Awesome bday present! Thanks, LAW! You are THE rock star biatch!

It was GEEorGEEo ! When she would come to school, I loved it because after she left, the whole school smelled like Giorgio! Of course, I had to buy myself a bottle of it.
Hints about friend: married to the author of "Sideways Stories of Wayside School" (the Wayside series), "Holes" (she has a cameo appearance in the movie), his newest book "Small Steps"...
I love that you have been instructed to wear you bracelet in pink, white, and turquoise order on Tuesday. So reminiscent of 4th grade. Great gift. I have a gc from her to a spa here. :)

Barngoddess: BetsyWetsy is her name. See above for why. I like being called a rockin' blogger (globber).

Booger: Here's to you man. Stay tuned 'cause you and Beav are up soon. Glad to know you visit. If you want to see more pictures of "home away from from" click on the Flickr bar at the top of the first page that says see more of Swampwitch's pics. Hansman told me to tell you that.

FWA: Yes, great "old" memories.
Thanks for stopping by today.

KarmynR: Yeah, and she just loved the silly costume on her head, too.
Just ask her sometime how much she loved it. Her name is LAW.
