Verbal-Linguistic Assignment - Think Suthern'

This picture really doesn't have anything to do with today's post, but when has this
"glob" ever been anything but random ? Why change now?
Without giving the exact location of this photo, please gives clues to where the photo was taken.
And, can you find Waldo in the picture?

Here is today's Verbal-Linguistic assignment. (Word Smart) It is a chance for those of you who need extra credit to improve your grade.

Please define each of the following "words" and use each in a sentence.

1. ammo:

2. bidness:

3. cainchew:

4. dogue:

5. etchicashun:

Quote for the day:
Don't mind criticism.
If it's untrue, disregard it.
If it's unfair, keep from irritation.
It it's ignorant, smile
If it's justified, learn from it.

Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence: (Word Smart) is the ability to think in words and to use language to express and appreciate complex meanings. Linguistic intelligence allows us to understand the order and meaning of words and to apply mental linguistic skills to reflect on our use of language. Linguistic intelligence is the most widely shared human competence and is evident in poets, novelists, journalists, public speakers, and bloggers.

Hey, they didn't tell me there was going to be a test!

The quote for the day is a good one, particularly the last line. To see be open enough to see criticism as justified, and then go a step further and learn from it...that's really something.

You do know I am going to flunk my real test. Beer won't help with this lady. :)

1. Ammo - What kind of ammo do you need? Shells, bullets, a magazine?

2. Bidness - Good one melzie. Mind your own bidness. (You asked for a sentence right?) That's all it is.

3. Cainchew - Cainchew stop peeing on my rose bush? :)

4. Dogue - ??? I am thinking this should just jump out at me, but it hasn't. Is this a test to tell if we are real rednecks?

5. Etchicashun - I am working on getting my etchicashun. I hope to get a dip-lom-a in December.

Here's one for ya. It is pretty easy. Battree?

(I see you have added more photos. Hope you weren't in front of the pooter when Hans got home. And hope he made it safely.)

Okay...
first off. May I take a sweeping and Musketeer-like (as in three and not MM) bow over my boot, in respect for your prowess at linkage!!
Brava!!
I don't got no clue what you are asking here.
Without giving the exact location of this photo, please gives clues to where the photo was taken. I think what's throwing me is the extra 's' in there. But if I had to take a stab at it, I think you are asking me to not state where I think the photo was taken but to state clues as to where the photo was taken. I'm a bit slow sometimes, I'm sorry.
The clue is...this area of the country is known for it's rain and coffee.
'Waldo' being your DH? He's in the center of the ring just to the right peeking.
Linguistic assignment.
1. Ammo, as in got no more ammo for my gat.
2. Bidness, as in Nunya.
3. Cainchew, as in I really needed that help, cainchew.
4. Dogue, as in I haven't got a frickin' clue... ;0]
5. Etchicashun, as in "I can't get no, etchicashun"...oh wait, that would be 'satesfaxshun'...my bad.

Photo's and colors....leaps an' bounds girl...very impressive. I might add that all this here learning is good foh yo brain...will keep the ol Alzhiemer's monkey off yo back!!
Great post Doll.

think Waldo is in the center of the "doughnut" standing on the right.

1. ammo: The explosive element fired from a firearm.

I will return shortly. I have gone for beer and ammo for the shotgun.

2. bidness: one's occupation or things they know and want to keep private.

What is your bidness? Mine is teaching. or Mind your own bidness and you won't be minding mine.

3. cainchew: food substance stored or sold in a metal container.

I think we will have some cainchew tonight for dinner, maybe beans.

4. dogue: canine or K-9 as police car says.

I have a dogue name Cali. She is a springer spaniel.

5. etchicashun:the process or bidness of teaching people to read, write and do mathematics. Begins in kindergarten and for some continues past college.

I have a college etchicashun. I was learned at the university of Arkansaw.

Dang...I dun been libbin' in da South too long.

My first thoughts:

Ammo - "I'm going to" - as in, "Ammo kick yo ass!!!"
Okay - I know it's ammunition, but I prefer "Mammy Suthern" style.

Bidness - "Business" - "You better be steppin' off outta mah BIDNESS befo' I be comin' to kick yo ass!"

Cainchew - "Can't you" - "Cainchew heyah what I be tellin' yo ass?"

Dogue - (floundering here) "Dog you" - "I'm a gonna dogue right upside yo head if you don' be gettin' up outta mah bidness!!!"

Etchicashun - "Education" - "You betta be headin' on outta heyah
befo' I get Songbird to dogue upside yo head an' be givin' you a REAL etchicashun, Beeyoch!!" ('Cuz, dat homegirl be a TEECHA, WORD!!!)

Okay...time for Tiggerlane to go to bed.

I love things like this! I bought a book called Dundonian for Beginners when I was in Scotland (Dundee being the city I was in..) I laughed so hard...it's along the same lines as this. I particularly loved the translations...eg: Dundonian--Oot me road! English: Excuse me, may I get by?
